One thing you will miss will be the beautiful island ... check out Costa Rica location on the map. That gave me the feeling you don't know much about the country so better for you to read through several web sites that are recommended on this forum. Or just get a guide book.

Agree you should consult a guidebook to get a better sense of the country and what there is to see--specifically I would recommend avoiding the South Pacific area due to heavy rainfall that time of year.

A lot of people like to do a combo of the Arenal area and Manuel Antonio for their first trip. It would give you a good mix of adventure activities and beach time. You have enough time to possibly add a third location, maybe someplace like Monteverde. Check those out and see what you think.

Now that you have got the first idea about a country to be visited (and I hope you are not planning to visit Puerto Rico), a couple of ideas:

11 days are far from being enough to "see it all". In fact, you can do up to 3 different locations. Luckily, those three will be very different among themselves.

Costa Rica is generally not a country I would go for beach holidays, nor for cultural holidays. Nature is its best asset.

Early November can still be plenty of rain. Choosing the right areas is important.

All this in mind, you could do Arenal - Monteverde - Manuel Antonio or Arenal - Monteverde - south Nicoya if flying in and out of San Jose (SJO); or Rincon de la Vieja - Arenal - Samara or Tamarindo if flying in and out of Liberia (LIR).
