Trail closure in Corcovado

Last spring I was looking into hiking into Corcovado from the north and was advised the trail had been closed due to drug trafficking. Is it still closed? Is it closed on the approach from Carate to the south?

The trail that is closed is between San Pedrillo station (north side, close to Drake Bay) and La Sirena station. You can hike to La Sirena or from Carate / La Leona station (south side) or from La Palma / Los Patos station. Most folks choose one for incoming and one for outgoing hike.
