3-4 Day itinerary for Corcovado

Can you please recommend a 3-4 days Corcovado itinerary?

Originally, we were thinking of doing a 3 nights itinerary Starting from Puerto Jimenez, then staying at Leona on Dec 22, Sirena on Dec 23, and San Pedrillo on Dec 24 and leaving the park with a hike to Drake Bay.

It turns out there are no camping other than Sirena and no hiking is possible from San Pedrillo to Drake Bay. That is the response I got when I sent my park permit reservation request.

So, please help me design a 3-4 day itinerary, that involves some hiking. Where is best nearby town to base? (Puerto Jimenez or Drake) Is it hiking distance from PJ to Sirena? Should we stay one or two nights at Sirena?

Is it critical to have a guide? Can we find a guide there at PJ or Leona, if we take care of the permits in advance?

Thanks for your advise in advance.

Thank you so much! Your comments are super helpful. I already booked the park permit and made the payment. Though I did not get a chance to print it yet. Hopefully the park rangers will be ok, seeing the electronic version (pdf file) on my Iphone??

Ballardo, I send you a pm soon to figure out if you can help us find a guide, for a trek starting Sunday (Dec 23).

Thanks,
