I would stay at Corcovado Tent Camp in Carate. More remote and more wildlife right out the door. The food was great there. A very primative feel with some of the amenities you will appreciate. Drake Bay was nice also. A bit more developed and does have more activities. You can do some tours or maybe go to Cano island from there. My money would still stay in Carate if I had to choose. I can send you my trip report if you like. It has more details. Just send me an e-mail.

I was wondering same thing but have settled on Carate will be there for four days in April. Could I also have a copy of you trip thanks Lisa
Lisa,
I would be happy to send along my trip report if I can just get your e-mail. The best thing about Costa Rica is that it's always an adventure. You can stay in the same place as someone else but will have an entirely diferent experience.

Just got email saying that the Corcovado Tent Camp in Carate is closed until 2009. They are recommending La Leona tent camps for interim period.
