VIlla Pelicano or Villa El Cantico

We are a party of two familiies with four adults and five teenagers. Which house would best serve us? The adults would like nice Master suites and would like to have air conditioning. Pool and outside areas are important, as we will spend most of our time outside. Thanks.

Villa Cantico has a strange layout, but nice views of the park area. Pelicano is huge and very spread out with lots of land and amazing views, but the views are on the Quepos Point side (gorgeous), so that might make a difference. Also, Pelicano is EASY walking to stores and restaurants, the other is not, so that might be a factor. Both nice homes though. Enjoy!

Is the view as good as advertised? Do you know anything about the rental agent, Elite Villas? Thank you.

Even though the Villa and the view is really nice. It doesn't really matter if there is no safety. No one tells you until you get to the Villa that you cannot lock any of the doors except your bedroom doors. The main doors and the doors that lead to the terrace remain unlock at ALL times! We wouldn't have stayed here if we knew that. We stayed here 2 nights and on the second night the Villa was robbed. They broke in while we were sleeping. We were very lucky that the burglars didn't try to break in into our room. Needless to say this left a really bad taste in our mouths and just the time that was spent with the Villa Manager trying to sort things out was just a waste of our time. The Management team were nice but you would expect more from them to try to make the stay more pleasant. Or at least some kind of refund. Would not recommend this villa at all. It is too unsafe.

Which Villa were you staying in when it was burglarized?

We stayed at the Villa El Cantico for from March 31st to April 6th, 2013. As for a possible lack of safety, the Villa is guarded and gated 24/7, all doors lock and there is a safe for valuables. We could not have been better taken care of and the Managers and staff were beyond helpful and friendly. The views of the Pacific are spectacular..
