Didn't time it exactly but it should be about 20 mins. from Villa Caletas. The drive down the steep, narrow private drive from VC will take almost as long as the drive on the highway-be careful at night! We enjoyed Tsunami sushi and a little hole in the wall, La Comida Rapida, in Jaco- we had our best meal at Fiesta del Marisco which is back towards the Tarcoles bridge- great seafood soup!

Dear chopper..

No more than 20 minutes...no less than 15 minutes!

Lots of great restaurants in Jaco Beach! For dinner, I recommend Lemon Zest (gourmet), Paparazzi (authentic Italian), Tsunami Sushi, Caliche Wishbone to name a few. Fun daytime beach bars, Claritas (avg. food but fun place to ppl. watch), Bubba's (great fish tacos). In Playa Hermosa, The Backyard has a surfing competition on Sat. afternoon and a good beach bar vibe. As stated in the previous post, I also recommend Fiesta del Marisco for fantastic fish (more CR typical but great food.) At the Los Suenos Marriott (Herradura region before you get to Jaco), the restaurants at the marina are all very good! Lisa
