Late June

Hello,

I'll be in Playa Samara in late June. Does anyone know how the weather is then?

What should I pack?

The usual? Shorts, windbreaker, deet, sunblock, flashlight, any other "musts"?

Thanks!

Usually rain in the afternoon, but at the end of June you often get lucky and have some dry days. It should be warm every day (and night), in the 80s. The usual will do - I assume you will remember flip-flops and a bathing suit.

It's a great time to go - I'll be there!

Awesome! I've only been to Costa Rica once before. It was early September during hurricane Rita. It rained for 9 days... a complete downpour and a "State of Emergency" was declared as roads and bridges washed away. I was totally unprepared as it was cool and wet. I want to make sure I don't do that again.

You are unlikely to see a storm like that in Samara (few hurricanes hit the west coast). That said, we did get a tropical storm there last May, but that was the only one in years and did not last long or do all that much damage......the odds are pretty low of another this year.
