a GPS can help, but long before GPS tourists were driving at night

the road to fortuna is frequently used at night, so don't worry

enjoy Costa Rica

I have diven the road several times at night to and from town to Leaves and Lizards, which is past the Springs - no problems. Like others said, just take it slow and use common sense.

We stayed at the Springs Resort, and the road to get there from the main road is very bumpy. Once you get to the main road, it's very smooth and easy to get into town. We loved the hotel - really pretty and wonderful service. They have five restaurants on site if you decide to stay in a couple of nights.
