Problem getting to Yasawas

Hi everyone,

My friends and I are going to Fiji in February, staying in the Nanuya resort in the Yasawas. We've just realised we've got a bit of a problem in getting there. It's my understanding that the main 2 modes of transport to Nanuya are the Yasawa Flyer boat or the seaplane. The Flyer only leaves at 8.30am each day and we'll be getting into Nadi at about 10am in the morning, so that option is out. The seaplane is way too expensive at something like USD$400 return per person.

Are there other water taxis going toward Nanuya on a regular basis during the day that we can catch? And if so how much do they cost? Or is the best alternative to spend an extra night in Nadi and catch the Yasawa flyer in the morning?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

What a shame yu didn't look into this before yu booked but all may not be lost. Contact the resort and tell them th problem they may be able to help or refund you the night s accommodation and this would then mean you staying overnight in Nadi. If you booked through an agent they should take responsibility for not informing you at time of booking. Hope ist can be resolved.

The following link has suggestions on hotels in Nadi.

Other options are the Westin, Radisson, Sherdan, and Sofitel resorts at Denarau. They approximately a 25 minute cab ride from the airport.

Hope it all works out for you.
