weather and clothing

We leave for Fiji in one week...so excited!! I was hoping someone could tell me what to expect for weather. The weather reports say 85F at night, 60's to 70's in the evening. Trying to figure out if we need sweatshirts or light jackets, or not. Trying to minimize on luggage so clothing suggestions are greatly appreciated. We will be spending the majority of our time at Octapus and Blue Lagoon resort in the Yasawa islands and then 3 days outside Nadi. Thanks for your recommendations!!

Take just one light jacket and one pair of light trousers (or jeans), typically I would also pack a pair of track-suit pants. There is no formal requirement to look the best anywhere, just blend in like the rest of us; and there is no one around that will say... ooohh, you wore that last night too!

You are well into the dry season now, so the eveninings will be cooling down with the expected afternoon sea-breeze.

Agree with Greville.

Have a wonderful time. We did a Capt Cook 4 night Cruise recently around the Yasawa Islands and the scenery and the snorkeling was magnificant!

Im so jealous...

We only ever take a light jacket or sweatshirt and have not had to use them often. If the wind comes up it can become cool so you are wise to go prepared.

We got some strong winds when there 3 weeks ago and while it was warm enough in the day at night we appreciated out sweatshirts. Have a great holiday.

We've just returned from Fiji, and up in the Yasawas and it was hot over 30c every day and lucky if the temp got down to 24c at night.

We didn't need any light jackets at all. It was hot and humid.

have the best time, we did!
