Young family looking for ideas

Just had a fantastic holiday in Fiji Dec/Jan 05 stayed 1 night Tokatoka Hotel, 7 nights Plantation Island and then 7 nights Shangri La Fijian. The resorts had many activities but we only found we used the basic as children too young for many activities eg. banana boat riding. Already done diving as couple in Thailand and jetskiing etc. Not so interested in these activities more finding frogs, sitting in water feeding fish.

Great to have the option of the kidsclub for our 2 boys 5 & 6yo.

Looking at holidaying in September 2005 for two weeks to get away from the NZ winter weather. Will take 3 year old on this trip, so 3 boys in total.

Not sure if to go back to Fiji would definately different resorts? How are the other islands for children eg. Rorotonga.

Lived on Goldcoast for 10 yrs would consider sunshine coast, Australia, but liked the idea of the whole package deal so need for shopping for food etc.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

The Cook islands should be great for families as many of the hotels in Rarotonga are self catering. As for your last Fiji trip would you agree that the Tokatoka and Shangri-la didn't compare to Plantation? Notably in the area of location. Cheers,Pub
