What money to take

we are staying at Westin Denerau and Tokoriki for 11 days. Should we take a mix of Australian and Fijiian dollars? If so what sort of amounts would be reccommended? Thanks Nellie

Personaly I always take Fijian dollars and my eftpos card for withdrawing from ATM. It is alot easier than finding and worrying about a money exchange.

Staying at Westin and TOkoriki, you actualy wouldnt need cash(if you didnt want), and just book everything to your room.

If you decide do do a trip to a village fron Tokoriki you will need Fiji dollars for purchases and maybe a donation to the school. You may also want to make some purchases while on Denarau so maybe 2 or 3 hundred would be enough.

I always take local currency. enough plus some for out of resort dinners, excursions that can't be room charged, cab fares. Any leftover can be sunk into your checkout room bill at end of stay.

Hi Liontigress, an Eftpos card is a credit car linked directly to a bank or credit union which allows you to withdraw funds from your account. Withdrawal fees for overseas withdrawals vary from bank to bank but currently are about $A5 per transaction.

Hi , It is much easier to use your eftpos card at the airport or port denaru as your bank will charge you the current exchange rate & no charges

Liont,

It's a credit or debit card linked to your bank account which enables you to withdraw cash from an ATM i.e. an Automatic Teller Machine.

Contact your bank re acquiring one, and what their charges are to withdraw cash overseas

Eftpos means - electronic funds transfer point of sale..
