OH NO!! SSC No late transfer from Nov & Fiji daylight saving

We have just realised the late transfer with South Sea Cruises is not on their new timetable ! Our flight arrives at 2.40pm and I had thought we could get the last transfer to Mana Island - which I think was 5.40pm ish?? But there website now shows a new timetable from 1st November and the last ferry leaves at 3.15pm !! We arrive 6th November and have our accommodation booked for Mana!!

Could someone please tell us some alternatives to get to Mana?? did get a helicopter quote - expensive but maybe the best option :( certainly not what we had budgeted for.

We have also had our Virgin flight times change twice - which we realised was due to Aust daylight savings but have only just realised Fiji daylight savings started today ??? so Aust is now 2hrs behind ?? is that right?

We looked at getting helicopter too but then realised that there is a 15kg weight limit for baggage per adult passenger. We'll have our toddler with us so I'm fairly sure we would be over the limit. They quoted $FJD10 per kg over the limit.

Thanks Leah, but no we didn't book through a travel agent. Guess something like this is the price you pay when booking it yourself. :)

But we are all organised now and happy with the result. We are taking a seaplane - even though it is more expensive we get there in 10mins (important with a 20mthd old) and have a scenic introduction to Fiji.

Glad my post gave you a heads up about the timetable change!

See you there :) Last minute panic for us!

Yes, Danielle82 - the 15kg weight limit was a problem for us as well, which is why we chose Pacific Sea Planes. Baggage Weight limit is 20kg per adult and 10kg for our daughter.

Usually doesn't take very long to clear customs etc, 1/2hr max and 20mins to marina so you should make it if you get off the plane quickly and get a taxi.
