Bus from Melaka to Singapore question

Apologies in advane if this has been asked before ( I did do a search but couldnt find any information newr than 2 years ago hence my post).

I'm travelling to Melaka for a couple of days and then planning to travel on to Singapore via bus- my question is regarding the luxury buses - which I'd like to travel on (companies like Luxury Express, Konsortium)

Do you have to buy tickets in advance for these or can i buy them on the day- if so where can i purchase them from?

Thank you for your advice!

I found that another website can book bus ticket through online.

you can go http://www.easibook.com/ to have a look.

which provides the online booking of most express buses tickets from Singapore to Malaysia and within Malaysia itself. With more than 3000 departures per day to various locations and destinations. The online coach booking system can be more comfortable and economical. The Bus company that you want may be got include as well.

Hi RaraUK

If you are going to Singapore on Sunday, then you must prebook as they are always full 1-2 days before.

Although it is cheaper to buy in Melaka than online which is charged in SGD (approx 2 times costlier), buying online save you the hassle unless you buy the ticket when you arrive at Melaka Sentral. Luxury coaches are Five Star, Konsoritum and Luxury Express, avoid Delima where buses are old and with 4 seats in a row rathan than 3 seats per row.

Fyi i recently by coach from kuantan to kl by coach - cepat ekspress. The meaning of cepat (fast/quick) express could nt have been further from the truth. Avoid that bus company - old 2x2 and freezing cold acon which the driver said could nt be adjusted. We traveled melaka to kl by konsortium coach - 1x2. V.gd and comfortable. Also avoid maraliner; some are really old.

Hi

Thanks everyone for your replies. I did this trip a few weeks ago but for anyone else looking for information.

I ended up traveling by Five Star I believe they were called and I basically turned up in Melaka from KL (travelled by bus) and just booked the ticket at the ticket booth for the following day.

Coach was clean and comfortable, plenty of leg room (not that it matters for a shorty like me!). We stopped only once just a bit before we got to the Malaysia-SIngapore border. And then it did take us some time to get to the Golden Mile drop off but traffic was pretty bad once we got to Singapore - dont know if we hit then tail end of rush hour - as it was just after 6.30.

Would definitely reccomend bus as a way of travelling between Melaka and Singapore
