Luxor/Huraghada EGYPT

We have just got back from a trip to Egypt, where we spent 1 week in Luxor and 1 week in Huraghada with Comos and Monarch airlines. Our flight was one of our better flights. we got up-graded to business class for free, staff were professional and helpful. In Luxor it was great to see all the temples and the valleys they were so amazing, but wasnt impressed with the poverty, begging, cleanliness, the locals, the scammers oh and our holiday rep, hotel sonesta st george wasnt too bad but lacked entertainment day or night. staff were friendly enough though! Day times we went the temples and valley of the kings/queens etc Nothing really to do in the evenings, unless you want to get harrassed or pick pocketed or even followed by the locals out side the hotel. in the hotel was just 2 bars (nobles bar and local bar) that stayed open until about 2am, couldnt go shopping outside although there are lots of shops nearby, there was also buliding work going on in the hotel which we wasnt told about.

Where as in Huraghada was completly different but i guess this is because its an up and coming tourist area, locals were similar but more friendly and not so pushy, hotel Dana Beach was huge much cleaner and lots going on day and night. holiday rep was much more enthusiastic and alot more helpful. we enjoyed our stay in Dana Beach and would consider going back!
