We are planning on coming to Gulf Shores October 3rd. I keep looking at the forecast and it's giving rain for almost everyday! Does it usually rain all day, or is it just a quick shower? Thanks!

They couldn't tell you what the weather will be in an hour let alone a week or so--that said --it rarely rains all day--passing showers. Oct is usually a great month to visit.

Rain was predicted every day this week, but maybe only rained one evening. According to the local forecasters, no rain this coming week. Enjoy your stay.

It's mostly sunny until Oct 3 - with only 30 - 40% chance of scattered or isolated thunder storms. That usually just means rain will pop-up out the blue - but leave just as fast.

But this prediction can change as you get closer to your trip - just keep an eye on it.

Also just have a few rain activities as back-up.

IMO there is nothing better than watching the rain hit the beach from the balcony.

Maybe have a good DVD ready to go.

Go to the theatre - the one at the Wharf is nice.

Play cards, etc.

Have a good time.

2 other rain options:

1) shopping at the Foley outlet mall

2) Naval Museum in Pensacola

Saint Louis...

I am coming on the 3rd also and I sure hope it doesn't rain the whole time. A little is fine but I don't want it to be too much. Keeping my fingers crossed!

We're coming next week. I was messing around with weatherunderground and found the trip planner - kinda neat...

It is not based on many years of data. You can find other historical figures on the site also.
