Holi is in on the 26th of March. It is the festival of Colours symbolizing the arrival of Spring.

Poila Boisakh is around the 15th of April. It is the Bengali New Year.

One of the major festivals of India, Holi is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety on the full moon day in the month of Phalgun which is the month of March as per the Gregorian calendar.This year it celebrate on 16th of march.

Mesha Sankranti is celebrated as Naba Barsha or Pohela Boishakh in West Bengal. Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the Bengali Calendar or 15 of April as per the Gregorian calendar. Hence Pohela Boishakh is also known as Bengali New Year. Bengali New Year is celebrated in West Bengal and among Bengali communities in Assam and Tripura.
