Luxury Cruise in Sunderban mangroves

A luxury cruiser M. V. Paramhamsa with excellent accommodation, bar, gym, lounge, sky deck, conference room, Internet connectivity... and everything else sails every Friday for the world's largest Mangrove Forest "Sunderbans". Its a dream experience to watch the Royal Bengal Tigers in their natural abode, the weird mangroves, the crocs, the birds and what not. The cruiser leaves from Kolkata (Calcutta), Millennium Park Jetty. You can check the further details from www.sunderbancruises.com

Hey, I was there with Vivada... it was great. the Pros and cons are here:

What was great:

-The cruiser is brand new

-The rooms are excellent, very large, very airy, large windows, excellent views

-The food is excellent

-Well lighted at night

-Room Service Good

What was not good:

- THERE WERE TOO MANY CROCS BUT NO TIGERS... Do they really have any left in?

Sundarbans has the largest tiger population in the world. Ratio is 1 tiger per 50sq.km. A Tiger does not entertain another tiger in its area (similar to domestic cats) so you will not find group of tigers at a time like lions in Africa.

To spot a tiger you need to visit small creeks as well as watch towers. Try to give more time to watch tower visit (at least one tower a day)

Take small boats for cruise into narrow creeks. Havier boats can not enter there. Usually tourist visit Sundarban under 2nights/3days package. It must be at least 4night/5days (minimum) to have greater chances of tiger spotting.
