Hi Anthony,

Do the tour with car . It is good to hire it for entire tour

Or you can do as suggested by chrella

The fort in Jodhpur is excellent, but then so is Amber Palace, plus Jaipur has more palaces in the city plus the observatory....

Agree to make time for the stop at Ranakpur. This is a gem of an attraction, stuck out as one of the very best places we visited during the entire year of 2012.

You should visit Jaipur for 2 nights because Jaipur is beautiful city and many palaces to see in the Jaipur for example: Amber fort, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh fort and Jaigarh fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and pink city.

1 night in Jodhpur is enough to cover all palace like meherangarh fort, Umed bhawan palace, jaswant thada.
