Fariyas Hotel in Mumbai

Hello there,

We will be travelling to Mumbai in mid-April. Two adults and our ten year old son and wondered if any of you have stayed at the Fariyas hotel. It seems nice but it's not cheap, any candid (or otherwise) views to share with us?

Thanking you in anticipation.

hello london sam , yes we have stayed at the Fariyas twice now and have always found it very good. Food is very good and your child will find plenty of great dishes to try . Our 15 year old who is very picky with meals loved it .At breakfast you get a very good buffet with lashings of hot toast and a variety of different omelets etc.You need to ask them to cook them as they are not in the selection on offer at the buffet , but it is all very tastey and no trouble too them at all and the beauty is ,its no extra . There is a buffet at night that is about 12 aussie dollars each and they have a wide variety to choose from .All beautifully cooked i am sure you will enjoy your stay there .. Oh there is a good pool too so your child will enjoy that Rooms are fine nice and clean and spacious . The hotel is around the corner from the gateway of india and the taj hotel . Just around the corner there is lots of shops where you can buy anything and plenty of good little cafes .Most food in Mumbai is pretty good except dont eat at any street vendors stick to little resturants and cafes . This hotel is the best of the 4 star range most others arent really up to the standard you would expect for the price. Mumbai is getting very expensive though and dont get ripped off by the cabs always bargain before you get in ok .Enjoy your trip ., the beers cold!!
