Ther arent any Australian bars, but FWIW, Fosters beer is bottled here. Their market share is evry small though-it hasn't been succesffl and Fosters Australia has sold out.

Thanks for that, although Fosters is a very bad tasting beer, same with Victoria Bitter.

Hopefully there is Carlton Draught up there :)

Well I WAS a bit surprised when Fosters advertised their beer as " Fosters-Australian For Beer".

Having tasted beer in German, the UK, Ireland, Holland and microbreweries in the US I wondered how you guys got your highs on this crap..Now I know!

upscale bars in 5 star hotels have all kinds of foreign beers

Indian bars mostly have kingfisher, fosters, castle, royal challenge, london pilsner, haywards etc.

if you're gonne be in goa, please do try "Kings" (different from kingfisher). its a great local beer with german origins

I just realised today that the legal drinking age in Mumbai is 21, I am 24, but my friend who I am travelling with is only 20.

Is this enforced in Mumbai at all or is it usually (unofficially) accepted?

In Australia our min drinking age is 18 which is why I thought it was a bit strange.

Fosters has not been popular in Australia for many years. I don't think it is the taste as much as its image. Go anywhere in the world and you'll be told that the local beer is the best.

Hi everyone,

Just returned from Mumbai after being there for just over a week.

It is the most amazing place I have ever been to and I am actually sad I had to leave to come back home...

I will definately be making another trip within the next 6 months, this time I will stay 3+ weeks to get the full experience that Mumbai has to offer, as well as making a trip down to Goa as all the locals keep telling me.

I tried Kingfisher and have to admit it is better than most beers in Australia.

thanks again mumbai for a unique & amazing experience!
