walking to grand sarwan?

Hi friends,

Many reviews on The Grand Sarwan mention that it's a 10 minute walk from IGI. Does this mean that it's actually possible to get there on foot from the airport? Is it safe to do for a solo woman traveller?

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

All the best, Ilci

It can be 4-5 Kms by walk. Better to take a taxi or a Auto rikshaw.

Well it looks like a new hotel in city..

But I'm doubtful of the reviews. I can't even find a site for this hotel.

The hotel is not so close to the International Airport. You will require an auto / tuk tuk ride to the hotel.

The area specially Kapashera Border is away from the city and I would certainly not advice you to travel alone specially during night.

I am fully agree with Titus_ Koshy's advice. During night it would be unsafe to walk so long.

there are no auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws available at the T3 its advisable to take the metro to the Aerocity station and catch an auto or a cycle rickshaw from there it would be much economical than a cab for places closer to the airport

don't even think about walking the distance as a single female traveler- never ever in my dreams, would i suggest some one to walk that distance

who mentioned it s ten minutes walk must be out of his/her mind as it took the hotel car 15 mins to reach there. anyone whom can do 5 kms in 10 mins will be the world's fastest man or woman.

For reviews please check out Grand Sarwan.

Yea,it's a little misleading with that post, I also googled the map and it looks close, but then again it's not-as all ofyou are saying. Thank you for the replies. (I have contacted the hotel for a taxi).

Cheers.
