Ran by an American couple, Clara and Max, this place was excellent. Not cheap, but in comparison to all the other places on the island they are very competitive. They have a huge wooden deck in front, plus in the back. They serve a great breakfast for free in the morning, have a full communal kitchen that is cleaned routinely, couches and a big TV with free movie rental, plus golf cart rental ($50 per day). Clara and Max were the most helpful people working for a hotel during our entire 40 day trip. Bilangual, they helped with all of our reservations later on, plus recommended some key spots on the island.
I also recommend booking a glass boat trip with the infamous Charlie. Everyone on the island knows where to find him, and he gives a very thorough and safe tour to the neighboring islands. Drinks are served often (optional of course) and are all included in the $30 trip. He knows plenty about the area and gives the tour in both Spanish and English. He has a wig but don't mention it, evidently he is sensative about the issue. Regardless, his tour is well worth the dough.
