Peradeniya station to Hunas falls, Elkaduwa

We are going to Hunas Falls, Elkaduwa in Dec end and plan to take the 8.15 AM Expo Rail from Colombo Fort. Are there taxis available to transfer from Peradeniya station to Hunas falls? What is the approximate fare I should budget for and is bargaining the norm with taxis in Sri Lanka?

We are traveling with 2 young kids and have read the approach road to Hunas Falls is pretty bad. Any recent experiences?

You should be able to find a taxi at the station. If none are there, just ask the tuk tuk drivers.

The fare should be approx. LKR 2,500.

The road is potholed but still well doable with a 2WD. Did it last fall.

All the best,
