Safari Tour

I want to book a safari and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. I'd probadly be looking at a 7 days holiday, with maybe one day at a hotel, but I'm not really bothered about that. I want to see as many animals as I can. I'm a female in my mid-thirties so want to go on a organised tour with like minded people. Depending on cost I may be able to make 14 days. I'm happy to sleep in tents, hotels, or tree houses. I'm looking for a mid range cost. Any recommenations?

A good starting point is for you to contact some Tour Cos. & find out if there any groups that you join into.

Sorry, it's not going to be an easy task to get a favorable response from them. Simply b'coz, either, the Tour Cos. will be reluctant to ask a group or the group may not be willing to travel with a stranger.

Here's is comprehensive list of reputable Tour Cos. (also members of Kenya Association of Tour Operators) that you can contact.

Also, try Gametrackers, they have a different niche of clientele - mostly individuals like yourself. Few "family type" groups.

Good luck.

You're in the UK, so you have lots of obvious high street options from the mainstream names.

You could also try TourDust, Aardvark or Tribes (all nice companies).

Alternatively, get a good guidebook and make contact with local companies in Kenya.

Whatever you do, you'll have to pay a single-person supplement, but you'll find like-minded people booked on the same safari.

Good luck!

Single Person Supplement can be as much as 50% - which is usually the case.
