Christmas in Koh Tao

I'm planning on spending Christmas in Koh Tao, I was planning on just looking for accomodation when I arrived there around the 21st Decemeber. Due to there being a full moon party in Koh Phangan on xmas day, I am assuming we will find accomodation on Sairee beacj no problem?

Hi

I've never been around the Christmas period but it is high season, although the weather will be variable as it's approaching the end of the monsoon season. It will be busy.

In past posts it has been suggested that booking ahead is a good idea.

Hope you have a great time

Booking ahead is a good idea is you want something specific or if you are looking in the cheaper range too.

The Xmas period here is quite busy ....

Wouldn't suggest it, book before you arrive and save yourself the stress.

Thanks- think i will just book!

I was wondering if you could maybe help me with a suggestion on where to book.

Im looking for a couple of bungalows (that sleep 2) that are reasonably close to the beach, medium sort of price range. Meaning i dont want to pay a fortune but i really would like somewhere clean with a decent bathroom and balcony.

Any suggestions? Its gets so confusing reading all the reviews!

Thanks

Hi

Try Bow Thong, we looked around last October and they looked good, reasonable price and good location.

We're going to be in Koh Tao on Christmas, how far away is this Full Moon party? Ferry rides?

We already have a resort booked. How far is Koh Tao from the full moon party?

If you're talking about the one at Haad Rin on Koh Phangan it's about an hour and a half away by ferry on another island. There are a few ferries each day from Mae Haad pier on Koh Tao, both Lomprayah and Seatran run them.
