Lomprayah service to Koh Tao

Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Koh Tao at end of April.

As searched on Lomprayah website, i found they have buffet ticket.

But i'm wondering with buffet ticket, how long does it take to Koh Tao from BKK. Because they're gonna stop in Hua Hin, Chumporn and then Koh Tao. I'm not sure whether the arrival time in Koh Tao is the same for Buffet ticket and normal ticket (straight to Koh Tao). Is it faster or slower comparing to the normal ticket?

Does Lomprayah service include the pickup from hotels in both Koh Tao and BKK?

Is the bus equipped with lying seats or sitting seats?

Does the ticket include water and light foods?

Thanks for ur help

Hi there !

Im not sure what a buffet ticket is but the buses leave from close to the Khao San Road. They do drop off in Hua Hin and then Chumpon at the ferry port. As far as I am aware they only run this one service, twice a day - so there is no direct service as such.

Your hotel in Bkk will probably transfer you to their office for collection.

The bus has sitting seats. If you want a bed then you can take the train instead.

They have just started a connection with a flight from BKK too.

Hi

I'm not familiar with the buffet ticket, however, the route between Bangkok and Koh Tao is always the same. Like the above poster states there is no direct coach/catamaran.

Lomprayah does not pick up from hotels, your hotel may offer a transfer.

The seats do recline slightly.

There is no food or drink provided, you have to bring your own.

The 'buffet ticket' is a multi-sector ticket that allows you to do multiple sectors, e.g travel from Bangkok to Hua Hin, day or so later go to Chumphon, perhaps to Koh Tao, after a few days Koh Phangan - or whatever, it is a 'multiple sector' ticket and has nothing to do with the times of the trips which are twice daily.

It offers the chance to visit different places on the way, if you wish.

Or as mentioned above also the option to take the Solar Air flight between Bangkok and Chumphon and then connect with the ferry.
