If you have booked a combo ticket with Seatran or Lompryah they will have taxis for you at the train station. But you will have to hang around the station for quite a while anyway.

You may be able to buy a ride on one of these taxis as they go via Chomporn town if you are heading that way.

Enjoy your trip.

We did this last year. But on the way down we travelled with a group & taxis to a local hotel were arranged for us so we could grab a shower and change clothes before being taken to meet the ferry. On the way back though, bus transfer was included that took us from the ferry depot to the train station (you get a nice little colourful sticker at the ticket office!). We had 2-3 hours I think there before the train came. We had dinner at a pub sorta place across the road from the station.

Be ready to hop off the train when it stops at Chumphorn, it doesnt stop for long!
