Chumphon train station to peir

I am trying to figure out how long it takes to get from the train to the ferry going to koh tao. I need to make reservations and I can't seem to find how long I should allow for getting to the boat from the train...please help!

hope my reply is not too late.

First of all I don't know exactly, but it should not be too far, unlike the pier to Samui.

Nevertheless, I just read from a ferry company's homepage, ie. Lomprayah dot com that...

To catch the first trip to Ko Tao at 7 am, you must catch the train number 85 only. (if you are considering the morning journey to the island).

And for this round, they do have the transfer service from the station to the pier if you book the ferry ticket with them.

the next one is 13.00 hrs, which I personally don't think you could catch a train to Chumporn before then.

Hi, I am "piggybacking" off of this message... my train arrives in Chumphon at 03:44 but the ferry doesn't leave until 07:00. Is there anything to do there in the meantime (besides walk from the train to the pier)? Thanks!

there are several ferry companies that run ferries to koh tao from chumphorn from diffrent piers. at least 2 of the piers are 10km from chumporn city itself.

the most common one used, because it is the fastest, is the Lomphraya ferry company. their pier is about 15/20 mins from the railway station. check their website for details on how to get there.
