Need help for a hotel

My parents and me (21) are travelling through Thailand. After Bangkok we are flying to Phuket. We have 10 days in the south, so we were thinking about to stay one or two nights in Phuket and then go by ferry to Ko phi phi. Can you advice us a nice hotel in ko phi phi or surrounding islands? It would be great if the hotel is near by a party scene and is located directly at the ocean with a private beach.

It would be really nice if someone could adivce me something :-)

We just got back from Phi Phi.Hotels are only on Kho Phi Phi Don. The surrounding islands are for day visits, no accommodation there.Party scene is mainly at Ton Sai Bay, the centre/main port. Be advised not to walk at Ton Sai at night by yourself. Some Aussies we met, witnessed a western girl being "surrounded" by 8 thai men.

There is one nice hotel "Cabana" at the quieter end of Ton Sai, beautifull huge pool, close to all the tin sheds, bars and restaurants. If you want a private beach, then Long Beach with lots of hotel choices and a great Restaurant, first one right at the beach. 35 minutes walk(partly through Jungle) from Ton Sai. No roads or cars on Phi Phi. Heaps of longboats. You need good negotiation skills. Boat hire prices differ big times! Hire a boat one day to go to Kho Phi Phi Ley to snorkel around Maya Bay, but before 9 am. Then the place turns into a tourist park. Also go to Bamboo & Mosquito Islands, snorkel at Hin Klang coral garden on the way. Food & Drinks are very cheap and good. Cocktails from $5, Pad Thai $3.50. Enjoy.

there is only one resort close to the party scene that has it's own "private beach", the viking palace resort. but it's pretty rustic or very thai in it's design - not for the faint-hearted. and it's a good 20 minute walk to the party scene through some unlit areas.

my best advice. spend some time and have a look through the resorts and hotels listed on trip advisor. find something you like the look of yourself. type phi phi into google and go to some of the many websites dedicated to accommodation.

but pp cabana would probably suit. pp palmtree is closer to the party scene. the pp hotel is the same. pp princess might be too close to the party scene for your parents.
