Another accommodation question!

Hi Tigerbar,

Would you mind giving me some advice on acccommodation - my boyfriend and I will be in Phi Phi from Jan 2nd-8th and want to stay close to the beachfront, somewhere near the action but able to have lots of 'chill time' too! Like to pay around 25,000bht for the 8 nights but a little flexible.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Hi there as you know that time of year is high season / peak season so you are better booking in advance, what about maybe looking at some of the following resorts bungalows:

Phi Phi View Point - about a 10min walk from the town, own pool, bar and restaurant

www.phiphiviewpoint.com/

Phi Phi Villa Resort

At the opposite end of the island but still a short walk away - check their website for details though, i have walked past in the last few days and they are digging up the pool at the moment and bungalow paths.

Cabana Hotel - Just recently re-opened, they have good deals on at the moment too where you can buy 2 nights and get a third free, so you never know they may have something in January too.

Baia Baia - brand new beach front bungalows (and lovely!) as part of the Ciao Bella Italian beach restaurant and beach bar.

Have you looked on the local webiste www.phi-phi.com they have an online booking system and many photos of bungalows and resorts

Hope this helps.

Try Banyan Villa Resort and if possible get a room overlooking the Pool - you won't be disappointed. Absolutely brilliant location.

And DO hire a longtailed boat, snorkel and mask and visit Phi Phi Leh whilst you're there. As featured in the film The Beach.
