Visiting Hvar 1st time

Visiting Hvar the first week of July with my wife. We are looking for a nice hotel four to 5 star. We would want it close to walking distance for dinner and a nightlife. We do want to have a pool and be close to beach. We enjoy the beach.

Any suggestions.

The beaches are not great at Hvar town. Hotel Amfora has a beach and pool and is an easy walk to the centre of town.

4 or 5 stars hotels are waste of money. You don't spend your time in the hotel. All life in Croatia is happening outside. As extremelly safe country, your main concern might me mosqitoes and air conditioner during the night. As about pool - entire Croatia is one big pool. You don't need "pool in pool". If you are lucky, you might find sea many times flat like pan full of oil. Much better than any kind of pool.

As the sea is the best pool on Hvar Adriana and Riva might also fit your 4 or 5 star idea. Rooms aren't too large though, but the service is quite nice.

Amfora. They dont have 5 star hotels there regardless of what anyone tells you. Amfora is the closest thing to five star.
