Does Cavtat close down for the winter?

Am considering booking the Hotel Croatia at the very end of Sep 2014 or even perhaps the 1st week of October. Will all the local bars and restaurants still be open or is the trade seasonal?

We stayed in Cavtat (Villa Royal) and visited Dubrovnik in mid September 2013. Apart from one rainstorm (over in half an hour) it was sunny, warm and very relaxing. The bars in Cavtat are great, the staff even better and the food was good too. Dubrovnik old town is a must, beautiful place.

Most of the Riva closes down about 01 November, a few shops earlier. It all depends of the weather, rain and winds. September is normally wonderful weather and far less tourists, lovely time to visit Cavtat.

We only bring our groups in September and October for all the reasons mentioned below! Last October 12, 2013 was still in the mid to upper 20"s and we were swiming no problem! Please book your hotels now as the two domains Iwork in groups, and meetings and incentives..well September and October are high season for that and larger hotels may already be sold out!!
