Very nice photos.
Thank you for your post. We are going to Yangshuo next year. However I am now confused about going to Xingping :) was going to get a bamboo raft ride from there. It is my first overseas trip.
i like your blog, very interesting. i would like to comment on your visits with dr lilly and dr ho. though they diagnosed for only 40 seconds, does not mean that they were not accurate. many years ago, i took my wife's co-worker to see a TCM. can' remember what his illness now. but he was surprised that it took less then 1-2 minutes for the TCM to diagnosed his illness. he said it took months for his family dr, the specialist and tests to find out what was wrong with him. since you are studying TCM, i hope you can get the best of both western and eastern medicine.
my husband is from Bali and i have spent many years there, but these rice terraces look huge compared to anything in Bali, if i had more time i wouldnt mind having a look at them. Some of the photos are really beautiful.
thanks for an entertaining and informative account - I loved Yangshuo, stayed outside the ton (as you suggested) at the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat, wonderful memories of that part of China
Thanks, nice report.
I did love Fuli market too. Remember those chickens but did not see the dogs...
I agree - Xinping can be skipped but the private early morning ride there was amazing...
We too stayed outside Yangshou - Secret Garden - also lovingly restored old mansion...
