Salsa Dancing In Rio De Janeiro

Two of us are holidaying in Rio De Janeiro in May. The main purpose is to 'Salsa'in Brazil, shop, eat good food and experience Rio but most of all to Salsa. We are staying at the Ipenema Plaza hotel between Copacaba and Ipenema Beach. Obviously the salsa aspect of our trip will involve going out at night and staying out late, but the Salsa culture in England is very safe and friendly and I believe that this is the world over especially in Brazil as dance is inherant to the Brazilians.

We need some good Salsa Clubs to go to and any other advice and info anyone can offer. Once we've found ond good club the rest will be easy - we will just ask the people there where the next venue is.

Can anyone help as we are two ladies on an adventure!

People rarely dance salsa in Brazil. Salsa is more common in the Caribe region and parts of South America.
