Confused on trips to take?

We have one day in Brazil & 1 day in Argentina. We have a full day Wed morning in Brazil then transferring at night for overnight in Argentina, then we'll have another full day Thurs in Argentina, leaving Thurs night to catch our flight in IGU (Brazil).

A little confused about the trips that our hotel offers. We want to see everything but don't want to go on trips that might be repetitive:

Our hotel offers the ff. trips:

(A) Great Adventure Boat trip and Safari (argentine side) - 1hour

It starts by entering the jungle from the “Sendero Yacaratía” trail to Puerto Macuco Base, where the second part of this ride begins.

From Canyon of the Iguassu River, until the falls, from these total, 2 km are river rapids. After enjoying the view from the calm side of San Martin Island we sail to the “Tres Mosqueteros” waterfall, at that point, the Brazilian and Argentinean sides and the Devil’s Throat can be clearly appreciated. The landing is at the base of the lower circuit.

(B) Aventura Náutica (saídas somente do lado Argentino) - 12min

It starts and finishes at the end of the Lower Circuit to the Lower Canyon of the Iguassu River and around the island until the foot of the “Tres Mosqueteros” waterfall, where one can enjoy a spectacular and clear view of both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides, as well as the Devil’s Throat Fall.

(C) Package Full day Brazilian Falls: Tour to Brazilian Side of the Falls + Macuco Safari and Boat Trip + Black Well Eco Trail.

My questions:

1) Do we need to take the Brazil Macuco Safari & Boat Trip if we're already taking the boat trip on the Argentine side? Is it worth it?

2) Is it worth it to take the Argentine Package A, which clearly offers more than the Argentine Package B?

3) Any other suggestions on making the most out of the trips on both sides?

THANKS SO MUCH!

The Brazilian side is smaller and can be done in a couple of hours - you will have the best view of the falls from this side.

The Argentinean side is bigger and take a full day or more to do everything (if necessary, validate your ticket at the park exit and pay half price for the second day)

Both sides offer the same boat trip, but its more expensive at the brazilian side: last march, Macuco Safari was R$ 160 (USD 100 approx) while similiar tour in the Argentinean side was at least 50% less. The brazilian Macuco looks a more extensive tour than the Argentinean one (Aventura Nautica), but in the end you just want to be under the falls and you can get that chepear at the Argentinean side.

I agree with abarbier when it comes to the boat part, but I would recommend not to underestimate the time needed on the Brazilian side. Set a side at least a half day of time INSIDE the park (if you want to take it easy and walking all of the waterfall paths and eat inside the park). Then add time for travel back and forth. The crowds mass up at the end of the Brazilian parks area where the restaurants are. We had to stand in line for upwards to an hour to get onboard a bus there. Also shop around for the boat trip if choosing the trip ob the Brazilian side. In july -11 our hotels agency charged 140 R$, but an agency in the town center sold the same for 110 R$.

The bird park outside the Brazilian Park entrance were a positive surprise for me and might be a good add-on to a visit to this side of the falls.
