Hey, thanks for the reply. Are the beaches better south than north? And, we're planning on some Kite surfing, I'm assuming there's plenty of that to be had along the way?

I also rented a 4x4 in Natal before and wil be renting one this Christmas. I did both the beaches from Natal to Fortaleza and Natal downwards to the state line of Paraiba. I prefer the beaches south of Natal because they are closer to one another and there is more to see and do, like the very famous Pipa.

I will probably be doing them again during the Christmas Holidays.

To the North of Natal , I like Praia dos Touros at the easternmost geographical point of Brazil . Huge, with very white sand and also dunes and unspoiled...

Be sure to have a guide with you in the car. It is worthwhile ....I usually hire a guide in Natal...
