Salvador to Boipeba

The plan is to spend a week in Salvador in Feb. 2012, then a week on Boipeba, then onto Buenos Aires for 2 weeks. Best mode of travel to these areas from NYC. I know flight from NYC to Sao Paulo, then another flight to Salvador? and then a boat to Boipeba, then back to Salvador for flight to BA?

Hello

You can fly with American Airlines to Salvador directly. When i was in Salvador i took a ferryboat from the terminal Sao Joaquim and it goes to Bom Despacho.

Right in front of the harbour in Bom Despacho, there´s a big busstation with various company stands who sell tickets to different destinations.

The company that goes from Bom Despacho to Valenca is Cidade de Sol and it cost 15 reais.http://www.viacaocidadesol.com.br/

Dont take the minivans outside the bus station, they say they are cheaper but people that we meet in Boipeba, said they drove crazy and sometimes they were prepared for an accident.

When you are in Valencia, take a speedboat from the harbour of Valencia to Boipeba,it will take an hour.

The bus ride was pleasant and you saw many beautiful areas of bahia before arriving in Valenca.

When arriving to Valenca they have a harbor in the middle of town that have boats that go to Morro de Sao Paolo or Boipeba.
