Jau National Park

Hi all,

We speak a very very basic portuguese, but we are willing to experience the raw side of the Amazon. We want to be in the jungle as most as possible during the whole tour... Would it be better for us to visit Jau independently, or to find guides on the spot? Is there an alternative city worth going to shop tours?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Thanks for the info! Would I have more chances to book something at a more decent price if I go to Novo Airao? And what would be the typical path a brazilian tourist would take?

Many thanks :)

if you speak portugues maybe you can get a better price for U$700 for 4 or 5 days from novo airao but make the things clear with people up there or the local still try to get money from you.
