Transport from Lake Yamanakako to Mt Fuji

We booked the hotel for 2 nights at Lake Yamanakako, whereby day one, will travel from Kyoto via JR and still trying to look for the correct station to Lake Yamanakao. Plan to visit Mt Fuji on the second day. Is there any local tour available for one day tour to Mt Fuji ? If not, any idea how to travel from Yamanakako to Mt Fuji ?

http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6905.html recommends the Shinkansen from Kyoto to Mishima station. From there, Fujikyu Bus goes to Yamanakako. Unfortunately, I can find no English-language information about the schedule. However, I see on their Japanese-language page that JTB can make reservations. You might want to inquire at their Malaysia office: http://jtbmalaysia.com/1217920802622/

Another possibility: The best route may depend on the location of your hotel. Can you send them an email asking how to get there?

The best way to get to Yamanako would be the one RogerR-Phila suggested. The bus seems to run every hour but better check as they might adjust it season by season.
