pronounciation

How is the name of this town pronounced correctly? Does it sound more like Anna-courts or Anna-Cortez or something different?

Thanks!

I like geoduck. I always get a kick out of how the two clams that look similar on the two coasts, geoducks and quahogs, don't sound like they're spelled. That's...

Some names are too simple... e.g., Boring and Drain, OR. How about Malheur?

Isn't there a town in WA called Mold?

IslandGirl--You are correct. That was one I had not heard of, so I looked it up on MapQuest. Sure enough, there is a town of Mold, WA on Hwy 17 not far from Coolee City and Grand Coolee Dam.

Funny thing though, that's dry country. You would think that a town named Mold would be over here on the wet side of the state, like up around PeEll--ooops, 'nother funny name.

I love Skookumchuck, because I was born near it, and it was my grandpa's "tickle word" when I was very young. Too much information. Apologies to its provenance. I'll get my coat...

Great woodsy walk to the narrows, fun to watch sea-doos (except for the noise)and kayakers do their thing at this wall of water. Bears in vicinity...
