It is open all year round. "Best" is subjective. Do you want the best weather or the smallest crowds?

December through February are typically cold, and you run the risk of snow, but you'll have the smallest crowds.

March starts to warm up a little bit, and you will start to see trees and flowers blooming by the end of the month. It is also when the crowds start to pick up. April, May and early June tend to be great weather-wise, but have heavy crowds.

By late June the summer heat and humidity start to ramp up. July and August have the highest heat and humidity, which bring with them the greatest risk of afternoon thunderstorms.

Things start to cool down again in September, and for me personally September and October are the two best months of the year as you have the best chance of warm but low humidity days. November is variable, and sometimes can be warm and sometimes can bring snow.

So there you go.
