Parking near Westin

Are there any close garages near the Westin ? Parking is $24 at the hotel. I am assuming I can get a better deal.

Actually $25 is standard for hotels, not only here but in Baltimore and in DC., so you are getting a good deal. While the nearby USPTO has two big parking garages, they close at 10:30 pm and charge a $25 penalty for overstaying plus a parking charge by the hour and daily..

Most of the streets have 2 hour limits and then only resident parking after 2 AM

The Alexandria Parking Enforcement rivals DC in giving out tickets. They will catch a car parked illegally overnight.

But if you do find something, double check all the street signs so as not to be ticketed. I would think the USPTO employees or Metro riders would snag any "free" spaces if there are any, before you even wake up. Here is a map of ole town parking garages but most are also not overnight.

At least you can walk to Metro
