Weather & Wardrobe (OSF theaters & outdoors)

Hi! My first time coming to Ashland (so excited!). I'll be seeing shows most of the time, and I'm wondering if anyone has strategic advice on what to wear/bring?

I gather it's hot outside during the day, cooler at night. How chilly? Light-sweater-chilly or warm-jacket-chilly? How about inside the theaters in the afternoons, are they kept very cool? Thanks for any help, it's appreciated!

Indoor theaters are air conditioned. Some might find it too cool, others not cool enough...bring a light jacket or sweater just in case The outdoor Elizabethan theater is "naturally" air conditioned (whatever the weather is, that's what you get...no cancellations due to weather). It's a good idea throughout Oregon to plan a wardrobe in layers. And, as you noted, nights can get cool, even chilly. Dress is very casual in Ashland, so make yourself comfortable.

My wife and I just recently attended Pirates of Penzance in the outdoor theater at OSF. We took coats, just in case, but never put them on. Very entertaining play, by the way.

Indoor theatres: a light sweater to keep your shoulders from chilling in the air conditioning. Outdoor theatre: bring everything from a sweater to a hooded rain poncho. Seriously, the weather here, even in summer, can be quite unpredictable.
