does anyone have a definite yes/no if this applies to all-inc hotels?

can't seem to find an answer, and if it's a total ban, what's the best way around it to have a drink watching the football without being sat in hotel room with a couple of cans?

The rule is that no alcohol should be served (not just bought or served), so that should apply to AI hotels too.

However, people have reported that they have in the past been served alcohol in AI hotels, in restaurants in town, etc etc. As this is technically illegal, you probably won't find them advertising the names on this forum. That's probably why you can't find a definitive answer. The good news is that while the ban theoretically lasts until midnight, it has in the past been lifted early (any time after 8pm, say), together with all the other restrictions (eg on reporting the partial results).
