shopping question

Can you suggest a shopping place in Manila with good "discounted" brands? Is Greenhill Mall any good?

What kind of transport from MNL airport to downtown do you recommend - is a pickup service for 2 for 600php ok?

Tnx!

A Taxi will take you to most places in Manila for less than P200.

In my opinion, top place for discounted goods is Divisoria. Second is Baclaran. Next is Quiapo and Greenhills comes a poor 4th.

I think it is 'safer' for you to go to Greenhills than the others mentioned altho Divisoria as FSR... said is the best one. Imelda Marcos shops there a lot with bodyguards in tow.

One can also bargain at many Greenhills stalls - but remember, the stallholder has to earn a living and feed his or her family, so don't be unreasonable.

Be extra cautious of pick pockets in these areas especially during holiday seasons.

P600 is a bit high for pick up service, where are you going to from airport.

Baclaran is closest to airport. Keep money in front pocket and watch out for pickpockets in crowded areas but that applies everywhere!
