Fastest and Easiest way to get to Makati from Tunes Ermita

I will be staying in Tunes Ermita for my Manila trip. After research I know that you can take a cab to Makati easily but I am wondering if jeepneys or LRT can be good options (especially during peak hours)

Thank you for the good advice :)

You can take the train from Pedro Gil to TAFT and change to another train from EDSA to Ayala station.

It will be a 10min walk from Tune to Pedro Gil.

Also be prepared to be squeeze like sardines in the train.

From TAFT station, you need to exit and walk along a bridge and then buy another ticket to Ayala.

Mind you the human traffic there is very heavy.

I agree. Take the trains: the footbridge transfer is best achieved by following the crowd. If unsure, just ask a fellow commuter.

At peak hours, forget the MRT/LRT. They are so overcrowded, it is not a pleasant way to travel.

Commuters now have to form up in lines on the platforms to board the trains. Access to the concourse is often prevented to reduce overcrowding on the platform.

If you want an alternate way to get to Makati, you can turn left when you leave the hotel, walk along Mabini St to Remedios, turn left and walk to Taft Ave. Turn right and walk to Gil Puyat.

Cross Taft Avenue and walk along Gil Puyat and you will reach CBD Makati.

It will take about 30 mins to reach Gil Puyat and another 15 mins to reach CBD.

Im not sure that you would save much time getting the train anyway.

Even in traffic the taxi wont take that long. Ive done the trip many times.

I agree get a taxi.

just a note, you can not carry luggage or large bags on the MRT if that is your idea.

That's true, just take the taxi since it might take longer to take the LRT due to the long lines at peak hours.

During rush hours, you are better off walking than trying to take taxi, jeepney or LRT/MRT. You will probably get there faster. Outside of rush hours, a taxi is probably 20 minutes.

Take a taxi and take advantage of a very cheap taxi fare here in Manila as compared with Bandar Seri Begawan. Taxi fare from Yayasan Mall in BSB to Jubilee Hotel cost me $10 while for that amount it can get you from Tunes Ermita to Makati and back.
