Help to Mabini Street

Hi it wll be my first time, and I will be having my 2 kids age 7 and 5 with me. I need a nice proper hotel.

I am hoping to get something not too far from Mabini Street as I will have a meeting to attend there. Can anyone suggest any great hotel,at least 5 star near this place .

Is Manila safe ?

You can look into the following.

Diamond Hotel

Hyatt Hotel

Pan Pacific Hotel

Manila is generally safe but with kids along, I will still recommend Makati.

Pan Pacific Hotel or Hyatt Hotel and Casino.

Area is red light district like Geylang but it's safe. Just don't walk on the poorly-lit streets at night. Stay on the streets with many people and cars.

Why not see www.asiatravel.com 'Crazy Rate' 5 star hotel for manila which is currently The Manila Hotel?

It is cheaper than other options above; it's an iconic hotel built a century ago with refurbished rooms combining olde world Filipino elegance with modern creature comforts. The asiatravel mystery hotel rate includes a terrific buffet breakfast for two persons:

The Manila Hotel is a short taxi trip from the Padre Faura Street end of A. Mabini Street, Ermita.

You have things the wrong way round.

Why not stay somewhere that has plenty of facilities for children and then travel to Mabini St for your meeting?

All of the tourist areas of Metro Manila are safe and realistically, no one area is safer than another but avoid poorly lit areas at night.

Manila Hotel is in an excellent choice because it's not far from Robinson's Ermita and SM City by City Hall as well as Children's Museum (Pambata Museo), Luneta Park, Intramuros and Manila Ocean Park.

Although you don't say how long you will be staying, there is sufficient close by to keep children amused for a week or more.

I was about to suggest that too. Diamond Hotel is a good suggestion with lots of activities for kids nearby. Museo Pamabata, Ocean Park, Zoo etc.

Walking distance. Unless you are Filipino. ;)

Maybe 20-30 min walk and 10 mins by car. No idea with the distance.

From 30mins to 90 mins depending on time of day and where in Makati by Taxi.

If near Ayala MRT station, 45 mins anytime by MRT and LRT and 10 minute walk to Mabini St..

You will need to know where in Mabini St because Quirino, Pedro Gil and UN stations are closest and the LTR runs parallel to it.
