Hotel recommendation in Makati

I will be travelling to Manila in October for a wedding and am researching hotels in the Makati area. I will be staying in Manila for 2 weeks and am looking for hotels around the $100 USD range? Any recommendations?

Check out the Somerset Olympia. They have nice, clean and spacious rooms and, best of all, it has a very good location (beside the Manila Peninsula and just across the Ayala Center. Friendly and courteous staff.

Is Somerset Olympia only for stays more than 1 month or is there a minimum length of stay?

what kind of accomodations are you looking for? would a traveller's inn do or do you need something a bit more luxurious? weekly rates in Makati can be as low as $300 USD. but that's for simple studio types or one-bedroom...

There is no minimum length of stay in Somerset Olympia but make reservations at least a week ahead. They are fully booked most of the time

You can also check out Somerset's other property -- Somerset Milennium on Aguirre St. near Paseo de Roxas. It's just a a block away from the Greenbelt Malls (Ayala Center).

I just stayed at the discovery Inn which was a nice stay. Seemed very smart and the breakfast was good and bed was comfy. Never stayed somewhere with a minibar before though so maybe I was easliy impressed.

I also stayed at the citadel in the red light district which was cheaper and seemed OK to me, we were on a high up floor and only had a few bugs. Staff there are pretty disinterested in helping but then they have lots to do i guess, room service was quick and they did give us a spare bed pretty quickly when we asked.

I stayed at the Renaissance and it was exceptional. The location couldn't be better. It's right across the street from the mall and the staff was very attentive. I loved it. Will stay ther again next time.
