Things for Hubby to Do in KL

Hi all,

I have been to KL a few times for "Girls shopping trips" - so am familiar with the shops, food and pampering.

Thinking of going with my husband for a few days. He will tolerate mall shopping for a bit, loves trying different foods and would enjoy China Town, Little India etc.

Just wondering if anyone can suggest anything a little bit different.

Thanks in advance

Get him some reflexology! ;)

What about Dining in the Dark for a different experience?

Would it be worth a trip to Genting to see the Casino (my mum says thats the only way she'd get dad there!)

I found the views from KL Menara were quite impressive - and sometimes they offer base-jumping just for something different.

Selangor Fireflies, FRIM or a daytrip to Melaca?

What other interests does he have - you mention food, but I assume if you have been before you have that angle covered?

Mr Mitch is a mans man. He is more of a shopper than me and has more Malaysian check shirts than he can wear, but he loves his grub and enjoys a drink. So we tend to head to Bukit Bintang as it gives us a great balance.

I have got him into facials - he won't have anyone touching his feet or a massage.

He enjoyed going up the PETRONAS Towers, and loved the restaurant at KL Menara - 360' Atmosphere. We even did a cooking course, with LaZat, which he really enjoyed as he is a much better cook than I - I can just cremate stuff.

I know Mr Mitch would enjoy Segway in Perdana Botanical Garden / Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park / Lake Gardens [not far from KL Sentral station] http://www.klbotanicalgarden.gov.my/index.php; I think he might enjoy having a bash with the pewter at the school of hard knock, Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre is a 20mins taxi ride out of town or Putra line to Wangsa Maju station, http://visitorcentre.royalselangor.com/vc/ ; and my hunter gatherer husband would like the treetop walk at Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) http://www.frim.gov.my/?page_id=543; then there is the Chocolate shop / factory www.berylschocolate.com/eng/outlets.html

Before he suffered a serious back injury he would have loved Skytrex Adventure in Bukit Cerakah forest reserve near Sham Alam 25km west of Kuala Lumpur Skytrex http://www.skytrex-adventure.com/index.php or adventures in the rain forest or water falls http://openskyunlimited.com/v1.0/

The Sepang circuit does a half day tour that he might be interested in if he is into F1 or MotoGP.

We hate it but your husband might like Batu Caves.

As long as Mr Mitch can have an iced coffee and some grub he is happy!

Happy planning!

I'm not the OP but love all your suggestions , my hubby loves facials and pedicures now, and has even started having them here in OZ. definitely checking out the Sepang circuit and Segway. I'm not sure if I would find dining in the dark scary?

I think he may enjoy the men day spa. Massage, jacuzzi etc.

Take a look at this:

Shazam7, can you please tell me more, regarding prices and the services that they provide. Their website is not very good, just one page, with no idea of the treatments etc, or the cost, apart from a MR148++ entry fee.

Any other men's spas that can be recommended in the area?
